wisdom
Will someone tell me how to be a good sister?
This is going to be the question that I will continue to have for my entire life. I thank God that I have another chance to start over with my little sister, but I still don't know how to be a good elder sister to my sisters. What *is* a good sister anyway? one who is an *example* (all elder siblings must really be tired of hearing that word)to her younger siblings? one who is always supportive? one who knows where to draw the line between being a disciplinarian and a fun-loving companion? I don't know.
Maybe it just means spending time together with them, getting to know what's going on with their lives, enjoying their company, listening to them, and praying a lot for them.
all human relationships require wisdom of some sort. speaking the truth in love, or supporting the other in love? when do we speak and when do we hold the tongue? when can we be friends and when do we need to be the elder sibling? it's incredible how complicated it can become.
