going and staying
A. sent an update but i think I shall not risk pasting it here for safety reasons.
To see a young teenager burn with the fire of the Lord so wonderful--how I envy her for her experiences, her love for our Father, and her zeal! I envy her call to share the Light with all nations--yet I must bide my time.
I might never go, but I am called to pray. Received MMS' prayerconnect last night, and the first page was Cambodia. I know so little, yet I am going in less than 3 weeks! Lord will you show me your heart for your people there and show me how to write the devotions that I am going to share for our week there. I feel so inadequate, I know so little, I am so weak.
"but we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." 2 Corinthians 4:7
What a comfort it is that our Lord is the one who "shines in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6)!
Lord your Spirit work in spite of me, but help me to be faithful to pray! It is Your work that will matter.
But I must admit that it is hard to think that I might never go. Yet I know that He is wise for keeping me here. I am still the glory-hunter. He will need me to be further purified. But yet, "how long, O Lord?"
Y is going to London School of Theology to do biblical interpretations. So there is a theological college in London after all. Will I ever go to London?
Something nearer to home-- W&E seems like a 'yes'. Oswald Chambers' entry last night read 'do not ask again for decisions already made'. I don't want to burn out, but my heart is burdened for the church. We discussed during Disciple that Singapore will be faced wtih many many challenges in the coming years. The Church will face many challenges to stay relevant and to remain faithful. Frankly, i felt immense fatigue just thinking about all there is to do and how much thinking
