Faith is...
Uncle Stephen preaching on a chair at the pulpit.
It was heart-wrenching to see the chair, hard to see him sit down for worship while everyone's standing, and it all that I could do to keep my eyes from fogging up watching him pronounce his words with difficulty and looking a shadow of himself just a few weeks from the last time he preached.
It was such a powerful sermon because it was real, no-holes barred, and it came from one who suffers right before our eyes.
Hebrews 10:19-11
Weakened by a relapse of stomach cancer, he said, "Even now I will say this: Christianity is the only viable option for me. In no other religion does God come down from heaven to suffer with us, and for us."
There was not a dry eye in the congregation.
